Last words are for fools who haven’t said enough.

While I’m not fond of Mr. Marx, some of his ideas were reasonable. This particular thought, to some extent, is true (no matter how indelicately worded). I find myself struggling with the compulsion to be the last one to “say” something. Doesn’t matter if it’s a friendly conversation, a civil debate or an all out, knock down, drag out cat fight. I suppose I should make this a New Years resolution (if I can remember it until then) that I won’t keep. Come to think of it, that’s why I stopped making New Year’s resolutions.

Exactly! That’s just what I did when I first read this quote. I guess that makes me a fool according to Marx (yet another reason not to like him, LOL).
