Who I Am and Why I’m Here
Who is this Joker, you wonder? Like the subtitle of the blog says, I’m just another guy in a wheelchair with a lot of time to think. Sometimes that thinking gets me looking like the fellow on the left (sans the make-up and the zoot suit).
Seriously, I’m a late 50s multi-career (grocery store bagger/cashier, Navy Cryptologic Technician, computer programmer, short order cook and cross-country tractor-trailer driver) who is “differently abled” due to primary progressive Multiple Sclerosis and Small B-cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma (in remission, for now [update, relapsed 12/12 will be in chemo starting 01/13]). I spend most of my time in a wheelchair, though I can walk for short distances and stand for short periods of time. I like to write (and read) poetry and creative writing. Music is another passion of mine. I am in the process of attempting (for the second time) to teach myself to play electric guitar. I spend a lot of time in front of (and inside of) computers (yep, that’s right, nerd central. Used to have the pocket protector to prove it).
This blog was mainly designed as an outlet for my creative side and a place to voice some of my crazy ideas and (if anyone reads it, LOL) a place to get some feedback (no not the type Jimi was fond of, though I like it too). Never concern yourself with my feelings, I really do want to know if something I’ve written sucks or if you think I’m a crackpot concerning a particular issue. That is your right (as is my right to ignore said feedback or throw random comebacks out there [8~D) ).
So enjoy your time here and don’t hesitate to agree or disagree with anything here. Don’t hesitate to share what you like, either. Just don’t try to make any money off of it (as if!).

Thank you so much, Bree
Guess it’s time to quit procrastinating and catch up on awards again (I know, I said I wasn’t gonna get behind again, but I did). Much appreciated, my friend.
Thank you Kip! Lol….procrastination…I tend to do that at times…it’s alright though.
You’re very welcome in return and Happy Thanksgiving!!
And a Happy Thanksgiving to you, too

¡gracias, Missy. Thank you so much for the Bear Hug.
Just love the word “afeared” – Thank you so much for visiting my blog and introducing me to your wonder world. Who is the photographer? I think you are a very brave person who has truly been dealt a raw deal! I will be back to follow your journey.
You’re so kind
As for afeared, sometimes I affect a “Beverly Hillbilly’s” dialect because of my life in the South. I’m glad someone else appreciates it
. The thank yous should be mine for you coming to visit my little world. If you’re speaking of the photographs of myself, then I would be the photographer. I love using little tricks like displaying a preview of my web cam on screen while holding my phone up in front of it so that I can see what’s in the picture. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 shots to get it right, though. I may have been dealt a raw deal, but I take solace in the fact that, for one, I’m still here and still smiling and that my problems are nothing compared to millions (or even billions) who are in far worse shape. I appreciate you taking the time to peek in at my little meandering journey towards who knows where and I will be doing the same on your blog, though it may be sporadic as I’ve bitten off more than 10 people can chew when subscribing to blogs
